Dr. Roth studied Experimental Physics and gained his doctorate in the field of charged particle energy loss spectrometry. Since 1998 he works in industrial radiography mainly in the field of electronics and automotive. As lead of the Stuttgart CSC of phoenix|xray, GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies now known as Waygate Technologies he helped establishing computed tomography as a standard tool in failure analysis, production control and research. Since 2018 Dr. Roth is currently working as Global Application Trainer with the Waygate Technologies Global Training Team.
